Our Roots
Established 1871
One hundred and fifty five years ago, Norwegian settlers established our parish as the cornerstone of their community where they would worship, serve, celebrate and grieve together. They brought rich traditions from Norway like strong choral roots, ethnic dishes (yes, we mean lutefisk, lefse, and rommegrot), and a culture of humble Christian servitude that would lend its hand in creating the original "Minnesota Nice." Their grit and sacrifice was a true testimony of their faith. We honor our ancestors by keeping faith in our countryside; by anchoring those weathering the storms of life; and by carrying Albion forward for generations to come.

We Love to Gather
We Intentionally Give
We Intentionally Give
Albion has a thriving tradition of fellowship! Sunday Service? Quilting? Mission Project? There will be coffee, home baked treats, and the easy conversation amongst neighbors in the classic, rural Minnesota style. Say "yes" to potlucks, communal church keys, and a community knit as tightly as our dishrags.

We Intentionally Give
The spirit of Christian service is threaded into our parish life as we dedicate our time, treasure, and talents with charities from local to international scale. Whether we are stitching, visiting shut ins, or packing gift boxes, Albion is always willing to lend a hand.
"Let all that you do be done in love."
1 Corinthians 16:14

These ladies meet twice a week to work on Albion's quilting! Their work is auctioned each June to the benefit of local charities. Do you have a pattern, theme, or item in mind that you'd love to bring to life? Maybe you have quilting supplies you'd like to donate! Perhaps you'd just love some company and a place to share YOUR stitching hobby! Would you like to learn a new stitching skill? Whatever the case, reach out to us! We would love to hear from you!
